The Dr. K weight loss approach is specifically for women over 40.
You will learn how to lose weight and keep it off, without dieting or deprivation.

There are two ways I can help you to lose weight:
1. The Clinic-Based Programme
In this programme, clients attend my Harley Street clinic in London each week and see me personally for 45 minute one-to-one sessions.
During these sessions, using a behaviour-focused approach, I help clients change their habits and behaviours so that they can lose weight and maintain it naturally.
2. The Online Programme
I offer a number of programmes.
The main one is my weight transformation course. The advantage of this online course is that you can be anywhere in the world and take part and it is much more affordable.

Who is this clinic programme ideal for?
Women who are:
1. Over 40 and fed up with their weight
2. Have had limited or no success with other weight loss programmes (especially since turning 40)
3. Wanting to lose between 1/2 stone and 4 stone of weight (between 7 and 50 pounds)
4. Based in London, or nearby (and can visit the clinic)
(I have international clients who attend the first session in London and then subsequent sessions are by phone or Skype)
What makes this programme different?
1. I only work with women over 40. The average age of my clients is 53.
I know from experience, that the issues that face women over 40 losing weight are completely different from women under 40 and men. It’s harder for women over 40 to lose weight because of less muscle mass and slowing metabolism. This means that conventional approaches like diets and exercise don’t work as well as they do for others.
2. This programme is about long-term weight loss
What’s the point losing 10 pounds if you gain it all back a few weeks later?
I work with clients who want a long-term solution to their weight. They want to lose weight once and for all.
This method is completely focused on safe, healthy, long-term weight loss
3. This approach is not a diet
A diet is basically a list of things you can and can’t eat. These sorts of regimes are hard to stick to, because it’s hard to follow someone else’s rules. They don’t take into account anything about your life.
My approach is completely personalised to your lifestyle, so it fits in seamlessly and is easy to stick to.
4. This programme allows you to lose weight without feeling deprived
No one wants to be miserable for the rest of their life. If your weight loss programme makes you feel deprived, you won’t stick to it. You have to be able to enjoy life (which means things like eating out at restaurants, and going on holiday).
What this means is that you CANNOT have a weight loss regime that is unpleasant. This isn’t some wishful thinking, this is a crucial ingredient for success.
This approach is about finding a way to enjoy the things you love, without undermining your weight loss goals.
Do you use medication? Or surgery?
This is a behavioural weight loss programme. It’s all about changing your habits and behaviours.
There are no pills, no supplements, no surgical procedures, no calorie counting, no packaged meals and no deprivation diet regimes involved in this approach.

How much weight can I expect to lose?
Part of a safe weight loss programme is setting achievable targets. This is best worked out together in the initial assessment session.

How often do we meet and for how long?
After the initial assessment, we meet every week for approximately 45 minutes, with email contact in-between.
The length of the programme is very much dependent on how much weight you need to lose.
With this programme you have personal access to me throughout.
What’s the advantage of the clinic programme over the online programmes?
I view the clinic programme as the gold standard because:
For many women their lives are wracked by either feeling miserable about their weight, or anxious about trying to lose weight. I see a big part of my role as shouldering this worry for you.

I like to speak to every client who books in an initial assessment by phone before the appointment.
What happens in the initial assessment?
Before the assessment you will be sent:
1. A comprehensive assessment questionnaire
2. A food diary form
When we meet at the clinic, I will have reviewed the information you’ve given me, but also want to find out more details about you, your weight history, what you’ve tried in the past, as well as determine your eating patterns based on your food diary.
I will then give you feedback about your current situation, possible reasons why you haven’t been able to lose weight up till now, and the best plan for you to achieve your weight loss goal.
Regardless of whether they end up becoming my client or not, all the women who have attended an initial assessment session says that it’s a worthwhile experience. They feel more clarity about what they’re doing, where things have been going wrong, and they feel more motivated.

How much does the initial assessment cost?
The initial session is currently £320.
