Eating out, travelling, dinner with friends. When faced with these situations, it can be tempting to just “wing it”, but I strongly recommend that you plan ahead.
Does this mean sketching out every detail of what you will be doing?
No. Planning doesn’t need to take a long time.
For instance, let’s say you’re going out for dinner tonight.
Spend a few seconds thinking about:
- what you will order
- how many courses do you think you will have
- will you have dessert?
- how will you make sure you don’t turn up to the meal too hungry (and therefore are more likely to make bad choices)
This really doesn’t take long and will make a huge difference.
